Natural Stress Cures and Remedies

The failure of the body to respond appropriately to emotional or physical threats is what is known as stress. There are many natural ways to cure or remedy the stress faced in our daily lives.

Of all the health problems stress is one of the easiest to treat naturally. The main causes of stress are lack of sleep, worrying about deadlines, money, debit, unemployment and family problems. These are all natural causes. They should be treated with natural remedies and cures.

Natural cures for stress include hot baths, stretching, massage, ginseng, meditation and hypnosis, and exercise. The use of drugs is unnecessary to the treatment of stress. Stress if left unattended can cause other health problems like heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

The symptoms of stress are irritability, muscle tension, lack of concentration, headaches, increased heart rate, and exhaustion. Severe symptoms of stress are dizzy spells or black outs, rectal bleeding, chronic neck and back pain, trembling, and hives.

When I am stressed I tend to carry it in my shoulders and neck. Since I'm a big bubba, soaking in a hot bath is out of the question. Massage feels real good but it cost too much to do on a regular basis. I use exercise and stretching to help reduce my stress. When that doesn't seem to be working or if I'm not sleeping good, I use hypnosis tracks on my i-pod. I just listen to it while ready for bed. Before it's over I'm asleep. This really helps reduce my stress levels and it improves my sleep too.
